Strategies for Supporting the Integrated Care Needs of LGBTQ+ Youth
Due to historic marginalization and discrimination, LGBTQ+ individuals face health disparities and challenges in access to inclusive healthcare. Individuals who identify as LGBTQ+ are more likely to report chronic physical health conditions, experience mental health challenges at higher rates, and are at greater risk for substance use challenges. LGBTQ+ youth are especially vulnerable to experiencing negative health outcomes, including suicidal ideation and substance use challenges, and unique barriers to inclusive health care. To improve access to care and quality of care for LGBTQ+ youth in particular, it is important to consider clinical perspectives and strategies to address their needs.

Join us for the second webinar in our two-part LGBTQ+ Integrated Care webinar series, Strategies for Supporting the Integrated Care Needs of LGBTQ+ Youth, on Thursday, July 29th, from 1:00-2:00pm ET to hear from integrated health experts who will explore health disparities, protective factors among LGBTQ+ youth, and strategies for providers working with LGBTQ+ youth and families, including clinical considerations and providing whole-person care, with special focus on transgender youth.
