Wellness Strategies for Harm Reduction Providers during the COVID-19 Pandemic
Despite significant disruptions to harm reduction services and operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, harm reduction providers have remained steadfast in their commitment to meet the needs of people who use drugs. Increased demands for harm reduction services during the pandemic, coupled with the unprecedented disruptions to daily life and organizational operations, have led to increased levels of stress and risk of burnout among harm reduction staff, including peer providers. This webinar will provide insights from experts in the field on actionable strategies that can be implemented at the individual and organizational levels to better support staff wellness and prevent burnout.

Learning objectives:
1. Understand some of the ways the COVID-19 pandemic may have impacted harm reduction staff and their wellness.
2. Identify strategies individuals who work in harm reduction organizations can practice to reduce stress and prevent burnout during the pandemic.
3. Learn strategies organizations can employ to cultivate a culture of wellness and encourage and facilitate staff wellbeing.
