I buy cheap ugly crockery and choose a safe, private place to smash it - it's helps release tension, fear and frustration - and usually ends in laughter. I've shared this with friends and they initially think I'm crazy but when we do it together it's very cathartic. Then the broken pieces can be used in mosaic crafts :)

I have an issue with damage to my right lung and am now asthmatic and just had to be rushed to the hospital for breathing treatment due to all the smoke from the fires. It has been really hard because I love the outside and have to stay in. I am hyper so trying to find ways to keep me busy when my house is always clean already. I am trying to learn to relax, frustrating.

Couldn't agree more with getting out in nature. Every. Single. Day. (helps focus on gratitude) Regardless of weather. Just encourages deep breathing.

the strategies to relieve stress can apply for all - but for the men I know, they want competitive sports. They want to play racket ball and win; they want to play football and win.

Thank you so much for highlighting this is an ongoing experience. I think there is a bit of pressure to have mastered this crisis.

Honestly trying to find small things to do that don't involve social interaction can become overwhelming at times. We live in a world where we are constantly moving in someone's space or someone is in our space..

01:15:31
When I hit a wall with procrastination its usually because I feel powerless and like nothing I do matters. My solution is to grab some water and go looking for someone else who looks like they need a break and then pull them outside with me - a 5 minute break to walk around the building, share some water and ask them how they're doing. It takes my focus outside my own stress and gives them a chance to unload. It truly gives my worst day a little meaning and helps balance my perspective.
