Very appreciated. Thank you!
Can this presentation be shared? Would like to share with community leaders in Kalamazoo, MI
Majyck, this is being recorded and the recording and the slides will be shared.
Tashia, both. We will be posting it on the website and will be sending it to attendees
Thank you Linda!
Lou Ann, please say more. What do you mean by co-dependency connects with this?
Shirley, you are correct. Native Americans do have disproportionately high levels of suicide as well
Shirley, you will definitely get it after it is completed. Have a great rest of your day
Natalie, we will get into that later in the webinar :-)
Domestic and sexial violence also
Katie, this particular study did not compare with whites but just looked at the prevalence for ethnic minorities
Shirley, thank you for that. We will be sure to make that adjustment moving forward
Tate, the sources are on the slides so you will be able to get the information when you receive the slides
Pamela, we were not able to find more recent actual studies, however, we will continue to look
Great job, Ciara! :) Thank You for naming POC and the historical, intergenerational trauma that some folks think do NOT exist still. *Important to reference this as a part of continued racism education.
Very nice presentation Ciara.

Very informative. Thank you, Ciara!
Thank you Ciara

We need more presentations like yours Ciara.
Great job setting up the context and providing very useful information, Ciara.
Hi Stephanie, feel free to use both the Q&A and chat box.
Great definitions to help start a conversation.
Totally agree with Beth
Great break down of Systemic Trauma and definitions. Great job and points explaining this, Linda. :)
Yes, intersectionality is KEY
Who profits from trauma in POC communities?
Majyck Dee, that's a GREAT question!
@Majyck Dee I don't believe it's seen from the perspective of, "I'm profiting..." I think it is more so, "I am unaware of the privilege that I benefit from and that POC do not..."
Hi everyone! As a reminder, we will send out a copy of the slides and recording by next week and they will be posted on our website.
i think its a great question to ask Majyck Dee.
I saw a question about bringing this presentation to your organization. If you're interested in that, please contact Ciara at firstname.lastname@example.org
while there are a lot of people who are unaware we must recognize that there is an intentionality that has been perpetuated by people in power from the beginning.
Yes, Kalamazoo is VERY racist and greatly undervalue our voice. Community leaders need a PD Day!
Kalamazoo has MANY non profits that underserve the people they are supposed to serve because their is resistance to Anti-Black training or trauma informed trainings.
True, Lithza. Also, to realize that racism and classism are not exclusive.
Who profits from Trauma? For profits
Thank you this informative and integrative webinar. Looking forward to having the recording.
healing is important

This presentation is wonderful and will help break the ice to start a conversation with my staff.
Very Great Job, Ciara and Linda!!! Thank You Both!!!!!!
ok hearing better now
Sorry guys. Georgia's storming.
Critically important webinar - and there is an incredible need to continue along with this and related topics. Too many times, experienced, major behavioral health directors (and their staff) do not acknowledge the devastating effects of racism and simply go about, "business as usual" rather than do the much-needed work of working toward true cultural competence and humility.
THANK YOU, Linda :)
where can we find the link ok
Thanks to both Ciara and Dr. Henderson-Smith. The best presentation about race and equity I've joined this year!! I'm so motivated.
